what we believe

The bible

We believe the Bible and the fullness of scriptures from Genesis to Revelations. We believe it to be infallible. As it is inspired by God and revealed to us by him, it is the only true word of authority. (2 Timothy 3:15-16)

The holy trinity - the godhead

The oneness of the Holy Trinity and the fullness of the Godhead: God, The Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is the one true and living God. He is the Creator of the heavens and earth. He is the I AM, the self-existing and all-sufficient one, and the redeemer of all humankind

jesus christ

Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father; he is the mediator of the new covenant. (John 14:6) We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ and that he is the true Son of God and the word that was made flesh and dwelt among us.  We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus, that he lived a life without sin and fulfilled all the law including every jot and tittle of it. We believe in his substitutionary and finished work of the cross and how he became sin on the cross in order to redeem all mankind. We believe in his resurrection from the dead in 3 days defeating hell, death, and the grave. We believe in the power of his shed blood, and that he ascended to heaven, where he sprinkled his blood on the mercy seat in heaven to seal the covenant and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.

the holy spirit

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit who is the third person of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit equips you for service and life in the Kingdom of God to go and do the works which Jesus has commanded us to do. It is Holy Spirit who gives us the power to be witnesses. (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:2-4)

salvation

We believe that salvation only comes through the one Jesus Christ and that it is received through heartfelt repentance by turning your heart towards God, and by believing in your heart that Jesus died for your sin and confessing with your mouth in faith that he is Lord. (Acts 4:12; John 3:16-17; Romans 10:19) We believe in justification by the grace of God through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9)

the church

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and Jesus is the Head. We also believe that she is the Bride of Christ who must prepare herself and make herself ready so that she will be a spotless and radiant bride without wrinkle or spot and will be presented to Jesus by the Father at the Wedding Feast. (Revelation 19:7-9, Ephesians 5:27)

baptism (water & fire)

We believe in Baptism by full water immersion. This immersion represents and allows the Believer to fully participate and identify with the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:3-8). We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit by fire and that his indwelling presence marks you as one who belongs to Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:16-17)

the lord’s supper - communion

We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper, (Holy Communion) as a sign of the new covenant ratified by his blood which is poured out for us. This was directed by Jesus Christ for us to do in remembrance of him until his return.  We also believe in the power of communion to heal and restore and that it should be observed with great reverence and appreciation (Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:24-29)

the word of god

We believe in the importance of the word of God in the Believers life, that it is there for guidance, correction, and transformation. For this reason, it’s necessary for the Believer to study the word of God and actively apply it to their lives so that they are rooted and grounded in truth. (Romans 12:2; 2Timothy 2:15; 2 Timoth3:16-17; James 1:22-25)

the five-fold ministry

We believe in the 5-fold ministry gifts that Jesus as the Head of the church placed in the body of Christ. These gifts are the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and the teachers. These gifts are alive and active today, their responsibility is to equip the church to do God’s work and build up the body of Christ until we all come into the unity of faith and knowledge of Jesus and become mature in the Lord. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

the gifts of the spirit

We believe in the full operation and manifestation of the nine spiritual gifts as distributed by the Holy Spirit. These are: words of wisdom, words of knowledge, the gift of faith, gifts of healing, the working of miracles, prophecy, the discerning of spirits, diverse tongues, and the interpretation of tongues. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
